Glissandra the Glider
Galeano, Pam
This is a delightful children's picture book about a young mahogany glider who becomes separated from her mother. Glissandra has many adventures while learning how to look after herself in the forest. Eventually she finds her mum again. The book is beautifully illustrated by Daryl Dickson, an award-winning wildlife artist. Both author and illustrator live in the endangered glider's territory in coastal North Queensland and their intimate understanding lends the book its special magic.
