Stasia Abraham
Stasia Abraham is an artist of the everyday. Stasia takes notice of the small, insignificant and subtle rhythms of life around her. She uses a diverse range of materials and techniques whilst producing her artworks. Stasia draws inspiration from her environment, her family, her friends and her love of sports. Many art pieces display the ordinary events of life in a humorous manner, making Stasia's works appeal to a variety of viewers with their assessable subjects. A part time primary school teacher, Stasia lives on a farm with her husband and three children just outside the small community of Moresby, in Far North Queensland. Stasia exhibits locally and interstate and has sold works internationally. She has published a collection of artworks from her exhibition "If Walls Could Talk" in 2007 in collaboration with writer Jacque Duffy. Stasia accepts commissions and has worked on several community art projects.
